A multi-instrumental musician, singer, composer, and music producer. Âpe Chimba’s music resonates across borders and times blending the primal with the divine. He draws inspiration from old African music, Flamenco, Latin, Indigenous folk songs, and world electronic music, Ape’s live music conjures both deep self-reflection and liberating dance ecstasy.

DÍDAC RUIZ

Is a multi-instrumentalist specialising in percussion and African string instruments. Always searching for new learnings he traveled the world, especially Morocco to get in touch with the medicine of the colors in the Gnawa tradition with the renowned Mahmoud Gania and his family. Dídac has also participated as a member of the German band Embryo, a pioneer of experimental ethnic music mi. He travelled many times to West Africa: Senegal, Mali, and Guinea Bissau to study with different masters of African music. All this knowledge results in Didac’s signature magic world music productions.

Is a Guatemalan genre-bending music producer & multi-instrumentalist. In his sound lives a wide range of colors, moods, and organic instrumentation emotionally driven and pulsing to the rhythms of nature.

Ape Chimba’s band’s live show captivates and mystifies the audience. Conjuring both deep self-reflection and liberating ecstatic dance. The experience of this music is not just a performance, but a prayer and a communal journey. Ape’s music echoes the eternal in all of us, expressing the rawest of human emotion and leading to the doors of sacred celebration.

On January 3rd of 2020, Âpe presented his debut album “Kwô”, currently available on all platforms like Spotify, iTunes, etc. In July of the same year, Ape released the short film & music-video “AMORIRI” which has become an iconic work of art for the Neo-Tribal and Art as Activism movement. Ape co-directed, acted, and wrote the short film.
