Blue Karma Dijiwa Seminyak is a one-minute walk from the main street, where you can find all the best cafes and restaurants. However, once inside, you’ll find yourself in a peaceful paradise without any noise from the street. In this hidden oasis, you can enjoy the tranquility and experience unique Indonesian culture.

The resort gives you a glimpse into what life is like in a traditional village

this is how Blue Karma describes their hotel and it’s so accurate.

You’re transported to a small neighborhood covered in greenery. There is a little wooden bridge over the swimming pool and a garden filled with carved idols, paintings, and photos of women in traditional clothing on the walls. That was my first lesson about living in a little village: it can be neat, stylish, and authentic at the same time.

The rooms are styled with motifs of Balinese and Indonesian culture and have everything you might need during your stay.

The attention to detail is pleasantly surprising, and I particularly enjoyed the variety of high-quality tea in the room: Waterfruit green tea, Moroccan mint, and chamomile. Delicious tea, the spacious room, the furniture in style, and the open-air bathroom are the things that you probably expect. What you don’t expect is a private pool all to yourself!

Blue Karma Dijiwa Seminyak has three types of rooms:

two-bedroom villas with a private pool, one-bedroom suites with a private pool, and one-bed suites. I was lucky to stay in a room with a pool right outside the door, a couple of sunbeds, and fully enclosed but under an open sky so you can tan and relax in privacy. Although it’s not as big as the one in the common area, it’s still perfect for a dip. So, when my friend offered to go skinny dipping, I was all in.

You don’t get opportunities like this every day, right? As I was getting ready for this little venture, my friend looked at me and exclaimed: “You are actually skinny dipping!” And I was like, “Duh!” And this was the moment I realized that even though no one could see us, people in the common area could still clearly hear us. That’s how I learned the second lesson of living in a little village: don’t speak too loudly, and don’t disturb your neighbors.

The best part of my stay was the staff of the hotel. They are beyond hospitable and made our stay extra enjoyable. They even prepared the room for the evening. Everyone is friendly and smiling. Whatever the request, the Blue Karma team is at your service. That was my third lesson: people are the actual treasure.
