Standing tall and proud in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, the Petronas Twin Towers are a sight to behold. A Vision of Unity and Progress

In 1991, Malaysia’s Prime Minister, Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, envisioned an iconic landmark that would symbolize the nation’s progress and prosperity. He dreamed of building the world’s tallest skyscraper that would reflect Malaysia’s national identity.

An international design competition was held, and Argentine-American architect Cesar Pelli was selected as the winner. His design was inspired by geometric motifs in Islamic architecture, featuring two twin towers that symbolize unity and progress.
